Herroberst, Combat Wombat - have your battles started yet? I've been checking my e-mail all day to no avail Cry
I have heard from two German commanders that they should get the setup's out sometime tomorrow, I think that is when they said. Anyhow, they seem to be working on it.
Good to hear Ratzki. Thanks! Something to look forward to when I get home from work.
Hi there.. ok yep we are up and running on my side ..

well it's a great big plain we are faced with so we have to spread out a couple of platoons to move accross to draw any fire from the tree lines .. T34s are hanging back as there is LOS from practically all areas of the battle field and some spread out guns will just pick them off before they are sighted ...

have two platoons moving up the tree line to the intersection covered by the Maxims ... T70's to follow through.. now, main thing is to make ground to the intersection correct?
Hi Combat Wombat;

Yep, that's my take on herroberst's orders. If you get the crossroads fairly easily and eliminate all the German forces, he said to continue on along the south side of the town. With this current map I guess you would move to the far west edge and then hold?

Good luck!
Yes, Commander's Intent is for Combat Wombat to seize those cross-roads and destroy any enemy forces there. Press on if feasible.

I have only set my initial set up to my opponent, basically an advance in decent cover to the outskirts of town. So, nothing to report.
Just a little note, I do not know if I have mentioned it before.
If either side wants to disengage with the enemy during a battle, they will have to annouce it to the other player, then 5 turns later, both sides will hit the cease fire button. There will be some hard decisions to be made because of this decision and I will have to take a look at the last couple turns from both sides in order to help with the decision, but terrain will be lost, heavy equipment might be left behind, to name a few. Again just letting you all know.
[Good luck!

thanks Commarade ! going in easy - though have to send out some troops accross the open spaces amazing the los we get in this snow ...
I see the Germans have started a AAR/DAR thread. Ratzki, are you going to have time to do a similar DAR as in the recent Main Event? Can we start our own thread?
You can start your own thread. I do not want to give away anything so will not be doing one. I will comment but that wll be about all.
