Here we go then, thanks for the updates!

It seems the Axis are enjoying an early war success phase, certain to loose the momentum, maybe already in 1941? :2guns:

Meanwhile, 11 Axis generals have reported back from brothels in Paris, Allied generals I am not so sure.

I would ask the Liaison officers to put all the players in a random order with numbers from 1 til 11 or whatever.

I will put together a scenario list, and once I have the player lists from both sides I will publish the player pairings for 1941.

Last call to 1941 everyone! Still room for new generals cheers

EDIT: Got the Fall Weiss score wrong way around, sorry. Fixed now.
Ok, here's the scenarios I chose. Let us do 1941 in two rounds:

Round 1: WF and RS - 5 scenarios, each played twice
RS 2 Cracking the Gin Drinkers' Line D. Bevard Details 7.29(18) 23 35-26-39
RS 1 Rearguard on Mt. Butler D. Bevard Details 7.6(13) 17 41-0-59
RS 3 Agony on the Agno Jeepster777 Details 7.99(15) 20 55-10-35
WF 1 Skirmish at Mechili D. Bevard Details 7.62(79) 98 33-12-55
WF 3 Gabr Saleh T. Herrschaft Details 7.63(131) 181 38-9-54

Round 2: EF - 10 scenarios, each played just once
EF 4 The Battle is Joined D. Bevard Details 8.69(226) 300 40-15-45
EF 2 Manstein's Prize D. Bevard Details 8.07(82) 121 38-14-48
EF 2 16th Panzer Takes the Heat - PBEM D. Bevard Details 7.93(40) 51 37-29-33
EF 2 Terror at Borisov D. Bevard Details 7.91(122) 175 41-7-52
EF 2 Surprise for the 17th Panzer! D. Bevard Details 8.24(170) 275 56-8-36
EF 4 Checking the Blitzkrieg D. Bevard Details 8.3(129) 170 49-16-35
EF 4 Enemy at the Gates D. Bevard Details 7.52(21) 29 34-21-45
EF 2 Bloody Odessa D. Bevard Details 7.28(47) 62 34-21-45
EF 4 Dash to Kalinin Von Earlmann Details 8.11(40) 56 43-16-41
EF 2 A Knife to the Throat Tom Herrschaft Details 8.48(79) 136 43-21-37

... I will pick the tenth one when I have more time. => Bloody Odessa it is.

So, what do you reckon? Round 2 good to go as well?

And here's the player pairings for Round 1:

Verruckte Katze - RS Cracking the Gin Drinkers' Line - Larry Reese
Von Manstein - RS Cracking the Gin Drinkers' Line - Wolfman
Scud - RS Rearguard on Mt. Butler - Ed
Peiper - RS Agony on the Agno - Outlaw Josey Wales
Kampfpanzer - WF Skirmish at Mechili - Arnold 75
Chuck10Mtn - WF Gabr Saleh - Zap
Bioman - RS Cracking the Gin Drinkers' Line - General Lee Ensayne
RD-DeathDealer - RS Rearguard on Mt. Butler - Smedley
Panzerjaeger - RS Agony on the Agno - Otto Von Blotto
Ernst - WF Skirmish at Mechili - Herr Strassen Laufer
Boisforas - WF Gabr Saleh - Oberst

Remember, 1941 will play with ALL *optional* rules OFF except AF=ON. Whip

Unless, of course, the scenario is balanced for play with certain optional rules only.

Good luck! cheers

Edit: yes, I meant all optional rules off
We still play with fog of war, right? All optional rules off (except AF), correct?

oops - just read back a few and saw this: And no Command control, units are free to walk about. No fog of war, you see your enemy as who they are. Easier assaults, hopefully together with LOTS of half trucks.

Wait, should both "fog-of-war" and "extreme "fog-of-war" be off? With regular fog of war off you can see everything, batallions, artillery, etc.

Dave
Thanks Dave! I did mean all optional rules off except AF. So yes, Fog-of-war on.

But that's an intriguing option :chin:

My intention was to create bit of a cardboard game playing experience re Panzer Blitz and Leader. With also the basic fog-of-war off, it would be interesting to play this like you play chess? Yes?

But I did mean that you would see the values of a unit counter on your LOS, not that you would see all units. Thanks for clarification.

Let us play RS + WF part as above, but yes, let us have a discussion before moving to EF side of things for having also Fog-of-war off :eek1: What fun that would be! Whip

But for now, optionals off (AF on), fog-of-war on.
To the Chiefs of Staff and the commanders of the
Axis and Allies!

I'm just a simple front commander in this
Tournament. My troops were fighting in Spain, Poland
and Norway. Now I am in the Pacific.
Until now it was a lot of fun,
I was not always victorious !!
But now I have a big request for the next
Round: All options on , except EA and VV,
everything else is "kids stuff".
Are there any players who play only with Armor Facing Effekt ??

With respectful thanks

Peter / Panzerjäger
Stay the course, Panzerjäger, stay the course! :smoke:

I was thinking 1942 would be played using the "classic" setup of ALL=on except EA,VV=off.

1943, ALL optional rules ON, including the dreaded VV... ?

cheers
We just finished "From Air and Sea" with Wolfman. German naval guns and MG units finally turned the tide for the powers of Axis. Thanks Rick, quite a thriller! cheers

Here's the latest situation.

Western Europe and Africa firmly under Axis boots. Pacific and Eastern Europe have the chances to turn into Allied havens, already in 1941?

Generals, we are re-making History here!? Eek
