Narva, Estonian/Russian Border: [Best played against Human opponent] January found the 18th and 16th German Armies falling back in disarray from Leningrad toward the prepared Panther Line. Shortly after becoming separated from the 18th Army, the LIV Corps was renamed Army Detachment Narva and was entrusted with defending the Estonian border along the Narva River. Before the defensive networks could be manned fully the Russian 2nd Shock Army managed to gain a bridgehead across the Narva River north of the city of Narva. With another bridgehead to the south by the 8th Army it looked like the III. SS Panzer Corps was in danger of being cut off at Narva. Quickly the 20th SS Grenadier Division was rushed from its training gounds in Estonia to counterattack and push the 191st Rifle Division back across the Narva River before they could be adequately reinforced. Composed mostly of Estonia troops, the 20th SS saw its first action along the Narva River fighting for its homeland.

Fun battle but the axis side seems to have the advantage.
