Yes, Alt I There are three states on off and contacts only

Here are a few others that I usually tweak before making a screen shot:
Alt H to turn on and off hit text - often ruins a shot if you are trying to make art :-)
Alt J to turn on and off the green objective area paint (and note that green grass in my shot above is just grass not the objective)
Alt T to turn on trees (three states for this one too Tress on, off and near trunks only)
Shift ESC to pause without showing the paused text at the top

I didn't knew about the Shift Esc to pause without the text on top.
Thanks!

Ok, how do you do screen shots, PRINT SCREEN gives me a black picture and there is nothing in the manual about it.

Hey Weasel,

Grab Fraps it's free and does a good job, can even make movies with it.

Oh that could be dead handy as i'm thinking of doing a DAR and need a decent way of taking screenshots. Is it hard to use?

No, it is as simple as using one button on your keyboard to take a screenshot and one button to record video. They have a free, demo version for you to try if you are interested.

The free version of Fraps works just fine, and this is what i'm using, although it has some limitations:
a) In the free version screenshots are saved only as bmp, you'll need the paid version for jpeg/png . Or,of course, convert the bmp images to jpeg/png afterwards (i'm using Irfan View for this)
b) You can only record 30 secs of video in one go,in the free version. You can record multiple 30 secs clips then join them using a video editor.
c)make sure you have a lot of free space on your hard-disk. At full-hd resolution a 30 secs clip generates a file of more than 700 MB. Seems like the software doesn't use divx/xvid to encode the video.I'm not sure if the paid version enables this as i haven't seen this option in the interface;probably not.

I do not think it is there either (I did buy mine but never checked that...). I use handbrake to compress the video after it has been recorded: http://handbrake.fr/index.php

OK thanks for the tips, i hadn't planned to doing any vids as my ISP upload speeds are slower than a snail in glue, but now you mentioned it i'm tempted! Mex Big Grin

Could you use windows paint to save the bmp's into jpeg's? It's just that i like to keep my PC as free of 'Freeware' programs as much as possible.
