You might not like it there, but talking to some of the US personel who work on the bases near me, the cost of living in the UK is sky high (by US standards) and most of them can never contemplate moving off base. :chin:

It might inspire you to start learning French too! Esp. if you were an Allied artillery guy who had to think about going back out there after the French retired.....
