RE: New Tournament - Taegukgi
One Kapyong Walley is finished, what about the other party?
I hardly have time for my own games nowadays, but supervising tournament is another kettle of fish.
Just tell me how many turns left to go?
Cheerio cheers

RE: New Tournament - Taegukki
Hi,

We finished some time ago, did you get the file?
I have to say that this scenario should have been dropped as well, it is totally one sided, and the Chinese have no chance in hell of getting anything else then an overwhelming loss...

-Erik.

RE: New Tournament - Taegukgi
I have seen your file, and I think you should have focused more on hill 677. By capturing this one hex you'd achieve at least a draw. And the best way to do this is by combination of attacks instead of frontal push through the escarpment. I guess it is more difficult in this scenario for Chinese, but how about Chosin50? It was completely opposite. Anyway, you have the right to dislike this scenario.
Now, I was talking in the previous post about the other group. Haven't heard from them, yet.

RE: New Tournament - Taegukgi
Alright, here it is:
Second Final Battle: (Kapyong Valley)

Communist Forces: vs United Nation Forces:
1. Fulcrum vs Patton
OL -15.6pts / OV +15.6pts

2. Erik vs Panzer_Kunst
OL -13.9pts / OV +13.9pts

As you can see final score was divided by 10 to make it more compatible. This is how it supposed to be from the very beginning, but it seems I missed that while talking about score system before. I apologize.

*Please note that even if we leave all the numbers square as they are, it'd not change a damn thing. We'll just have a bigger numbers, that's all.

RE: New Tournament - Taegukgi
Secondly,
Communist side 1st battle score was: 1. + 2nd battle score = -28.5pts.
UN side 1st battle score was: -1. + 2nd battle score = 28.5pts.

Obviously UN side wins in this tournament.

The best overall player is Patton with his: 29.6pts.
Congrats.

RE: New Tournament - Taegukgi
Now, it's the cream:
Bonus points.

Patton 30pts
Panzer_Kunst 30pts
Fulcrum 20pts
Erik 20pts

I'll arrange with ladder custodian you will all get this points.
Thank you guys for your time, I wish you all the best in future battles.
I only regret that we had so little players and so little scenarios to play, covering one of the most interesting periods during the Cold War - The Korean War.
I hope that it will get better in the future.

Hey...
wait a second... have we forgotten something?
Best player (Patton) is a winner. As promised he will get a prize for a best player, which is:

Korean war movie.
In my opinion (as I've seen a lot of them) one of the best ever made.
This title is in my top shelf collection. Even my girlfriend liked it, although she's not fond of war movies. Highly recommended. Watch it and you'll know why. :-)
