Possibly, if distributed where needed!

NJG (Nachtjagdgeschwader) - Night Fighter Wing

Saw this today in Gris's notes.

Can you get away with just using them for night fighting?

Hi Aces8,

They do. When you first load the scenario, go to the Commander report, air groups, and sort by the NM (night mission) column and the dedicated fighters will start with a Y (yes).

Try the 44-45 campaign, Also look at the name, NSGr (Nachtschlachtgruppe) - Night Bomber Wing and NJG (Nachtjagdgeschwader) - Night Fighter Wing (I think the manual has the names backwards, not important for the post). Look for Nacht (night). Rule 8.1.4.Air Group Unit Names. These units have the dedicated equipment. Be advised there are not many. I show 10 groups in my menu.

Germany’s main night fighters were the Messerschmitt Bf-110G, the Junker Ju-88G6, the Dornier Do-217J and the Heinkel He-219A Uhu (Owl). I not sure is all are in the game.

I leave mine set to night. If anything they can escort transport mission at night. For the Soviets this is real important for partisans. Another topic for another thread.

Hope this helps, see you on the Steppe
