COMBAT FOOTAGE- The Town




My panzers grind laboriously through the trees but their progress is slowed to a crawl as Combat Wombat's T-34's confront them head-on..

FEYDARKIN 29, POS 71 (tac win for POS)




I pushed my two panzer groups towards the town, one in line abreast (left) and the other in line astern (right), both looking for a major tank battle to defeat the Russian armour so that they could then sweep down into the town unopposed, but Feydarkin refused to take the bait and kept half his tanks back in reserve in the town, so although I attrited his tanks on the hill, I dare not then risk plunging into the town with only a couple of turns remaining before I'd had time to properly re-deploy into a fresh attack formation..

COMBAT FOOTAGE

Combat Wombat's sturmovik knocks out a panzer. The German machine was immobd a while ago and is now finished off by the sturmo strafe, (yellow arrow and shadow indicates its ground track); its tracers and grey shells can just be made out lancing down into the top of the helpless tank.
The German flak wagon is commendably firing at the plane from an impressive distance away.




The flaks view firing from over 1200 metres away, yellow arrow marks the aircrafts path across the firmament, and a circle indicates the panzer that was shot up..

This below is a test I did a while back, not an actual game, but it's interesting because it's the longest range (over 1500 metres) I've yet seen a flak engage an aircraft, that's getting on for a mile which is pretty impressive as it means flak can easily cover the whole of most CM battlefields..
Note too the flakwagon was moving on 'Fast' while shooting, and it still downed the plane as it's 'kills' screen later revealed!
