Scenario Briefing: The Battle of Sablat or Záblatí - Leading a small army of some 3,000 men, the Anti-Imperialist general Mansfeld was attempting to join forces with another force under Hohenlohe. After blundering into an ambush set by Bucquoy at Netolitz, Mansfeld quickly fell back to Záblatí, which he attempted to fortify whilst waiting for Hohenlohe to march to his assistance. However, despite being only some 7km away, Hohenlohe failed to arrive. After driving in Mansfeld's outposts and sending cavalry to cut off his line of retreat northwards, Bucquoy set fire to the town and then attacked the disordered enemy as they attempted to escape. This Imperialist victory compelled Hohenlohe to retreat to rejoin Thurn after his failed attempt to capture Wien and thus allowed Bucquoy's troops to overrun Southern Bohemia.

Too easy to surround the Bohemians before then can even try to protect themselves.
