Normandy, June 6th, 1944. Best played as Allied. This scenario recreates the air assault of the British 6th Airborne Division between the Orne and the Dives rivers. It last from 00:16 (00:18 in game terms) til 06:00. Drop & Landing Schedule: 00:18 (turn 1): LZs X & Y: Howard's coup de main party; DZs N,V,K: 22nd Ind Company; Merville: Pathfinders 9th Para Bn. 00:48 (turn 6): DZ N: 5th Para Brigade; DZs V,K: 3rd Para Brigade. 03:24 (turn 32): Divisional Troops (RA, RE), 4th AT Battery. 04:30 (turn 43): Merville: Otway's coup de main party. Objectives: 3rd Para Brigade: Destroy the five bridges on the Dives and Divettes rivers, Capture and destroy the Merville coastal battery and its 150mm guns (Only 75mm in reality), Establish a defensive perimeter between Le Plain and Varraville. 5th Para Brigade: Capture and Hold Pegasus Bridge, Establish a firm defensive line facing South from Ranville to Bavent. NOTES: All objective hexes are indicated with the name of the units supposed to capture them. The five bridges to be detroyed are also indicated. The trick is to capture the hex and destroy both ends (take care not to be trapped in the middle!) to be sure that they could not be recaptured.
