Crecy, 29km SE of St. Quentin, France: [Best played as Allied] On May 19th the XIX Panzer Korps was pushing west again through northern France to seize bridgeheads across the Canal du Nord. Meanwhile Guderian was also looking to establish crossings over the Somme for the second phase of the Battle for France when the German divisions would turn south. As usual the panzer General's attention was focused on the task before him, but reports of enemy tanks massing again to the south and the sudden attack against his rear echelon two days before, prompted the general to order strong flanking positions established. For Colonel de Gaulle, recently appointed to command the French 4th Cuirassier Division, the 19th was a second chance to drive into the rear of the German armored columns as he had attempted at Montcornet two days previously. This time the objective was to strike across the Serre River bridges at Crecy and cut Guderian's supply lines to La Fere. With only a battalion of infantry, de Gaulle's armor was once again poorly supported. This time as the French tanks pushed through the screen of light blocking forces, his armor came up against a well organized anti-tank defense, unlike the panicked German formations at Montcornet.

Though designed for play as the Allies against the computer, this turned out to be a very balanced, competitive affair (though the German player may not believe so until later in the scene)
