Kampfgruppe 'Hansen' (part of 1st SS Panzer Division) had not met any serious resistance so far. Follwing his orders, he was trying very hard to get his troops forward, but that wasn't going as well as he had anticipated. All along his assigned rollbahn E, he had to fight not the Ami's but his own troops! The assigned road was congested with the fallshirmjäger of 3rd Fallschirmjäger division... So SS-Standartenführer Max Hansen let his troops bypass the congested roads by first turning south to Ormont, then turn west again towards Recht and Poteau, to the north of Saint-Vith. Saint-Vith was already being attacked from the east and units of the US 7th Armored division were so far holding the town. Meanwhile CCR/7 AD was heading south to join the rest of the division were urgent calls for support were received from the small garrisoning force at Recht : the Germans were coming!!

I really enjoyed this scenario, keep in mind though, that there is another called *Reign of Confusion (with the asterisk) that takes place in North Africa. This scenario takes place in Europe. Basically, the German has to try to exit this units, grab all the objectives, or both. I took the route less traveled...and simply destroyed far more units than I lost. The central town was completely conquered, however. It should be noted that the allies have numerous high-end armored units in this scenario, so watch out!
Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy.

Didn't like the fact that the British heavy weapons had no on board supply and the infantry had to walk into battle!

The axis have their hands more than full, but the allies have a very hard points target.

The Germans with their mixed bag of forces don't appear to be strong enough to dislodge the Americans from the center position. The timely arrival of American reinforcements sealed the German fate from mid game.
