Rohrbach, 70km E of Metz, France: [Best played as Allied] After continuous fighting through the fall of 1944 the US 4th Armored Division, known as "Patton's Best" for its usual position and achievements in the forefront of Third Army, was badly in need of rest and reorganization. Losses had been high; however, the 4th still had enough of its old spirit and determination to make one more push before being relieved. In the first days of December, Third Army crossed the Saar River east of Metz, and pushed the defending German panzer units over Eichel Creek where they took up positions in the old Maginot Line. General Earnest, commanding Combat Command A, was given the task of capturing the important communications and rail center at Rohrbach and cutting the German escape route to the east. After a day of heavy fighting, the Americans advanced on 6 December against well organized pockets of resistance and concentrated artillery fire from their old enemies the 11th Panzer and 25th Panzer Grenadier Divisions.

Germans mostly fixed for way too much of the game. Allies can weave their way around German strongpoints to hit the victory point sites with overwhelming power.
