Moringen, 75km S of Hannover, Germany: [Best played against Human opponent] For Lt. Colonel Kucher, veteran of the Eastern Front and recently assigned command of a mixed battalion of Panthers and Tigers, the week previous to April 9th had not gone well. Since the orders arrived to move from the assembly area near Hamelin and join with Kampfgruppe Ettner to cover the crossings of the Leine River, his small group had been delayed by mechanical breakdowns, fuel shortages and unexpected attacks by allied aircraft. Now his little ragtag circus of some of the most powerful tanks in the world was just west of Northeim and there was one more delay. Moving along the highway from Paderborn towards Moringen were the lead elements of the US 3rd Armored Division. However, this was an obstacle his years in Russia had taught him how to deal with. It was time to try and give the American armor a taste of the Russian Front!

The German's just have to sit tight, the Allied player really has to think about approach routes.

This is one of the best small ones out ther IMHO.

Plenty of Allied armor. Challenging as the Germans. Good map and good design.
Krec
Very strong units for both sides. Well balanced, either side can win.

There is a technique the Americans must use to achieve any chance of victory in this highly charged and risky scenario.....

Really fun little scenario. David made little spoiling attacks and killed my PzIV. My Puma and my Ceasar HT also died doing recon duties. However, I had some really great spotting positions and mostly just blew up whatever allied units poked their heads out. I agree that for the german to "sit tight" is the best axis strategy here. Still, a concentrated allied attack in any one area would have left me really hurting. I also put both my tiger and tiger II in a forested ridge hex high, high up, to the east of the map. Most of the objectives were actually captured by the allies, but attrition saved the day.
Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy.

Nice, well balanced and excellent for a quick online game.

Should not be played using extreme assault.

Slight dis-advantage to the allied side for a unexperienced player vs. experienced player.Fun scenario for IP play

A better player can win here as Allies. With matched players there is a slight advantage for Axis side.

Allies could use a couple of Jumbos instead of so many Chaffees.

Lots of options for both sides... A tough scenario to master...

Kutcher\'s is a balanced and interesting scenario that pits a small axis armored force vs. a similarly equipped U.S. one. Because of the small size of the scenario, there is absolutely no room for error (as I found out). The ground is soft but the road network is good. The basic idea is to try to grab the main town and hold it. The axis will really struggle to get the far-flung objectives, as they are outnumbered, but too too badly. A severe lack of infantry will make it hard to hold the enemy armor \'at a distance.\' I tried to grab the high ground and shoot from above - in forest hexes with embankment hex-sides. However, there are only 10 turns and I ran out of time. Also, this strategy caused me to divide my (axis) force, with disastrous results for me. Simply put - grab the main town, hold it, and you will probably win. Don\'t try anything overly fancy or creative or you\'ll likely end up like my forces did!
Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy.
