Invasion Sicily - The Matrix Games version of West Front

Hypothetical Scenario - (Can be played as a 2X2 team game) The allies catch the axis forces off guard and initial landings and paratroop drops have secured a foot hold on Sicily. Now the remaining invasion force including the bulk of the allied armor, needs to make it ashore before the Germans and Italians can regroup. As the second wave of transports approach the beaches, elements of two axis divisions dig in and await much needed reinforcements. Suddenly, the rumble of tanks can be heard in the distance! Now its a race against time as both sides vie for control of the beachhead and the surrounding towns.
