Near Raseiniai, 90km NW of Vilnius: [Best played against Human opponent] As German armor and troops strike deep into Russia in the beginning of Operation Barbarossa, the Soviet 41st Tank Division is hurled into the cauldron of battle to slow the panzers near Raseiniai. At the Dubysa River the 41st Tank Division smashes into the German 6th Panzer Division and stops it cold. Following it, however, is the better equipped and better trained 1st Panzer Division. The Russians will have a much harder battle on their hands this time, even with the presence of a few KV-1s and T-34s in their armored arsenal.

I thought it was a good early war scenario.
One of the more exciting early war scenarios...shows how powerful the T-34's were when the Germans first ran into them...
Both sides need to use solid tactics to have a chance of winning. Well balanced, though it might not be seen that way.

An good mix of early war armor-on-armor contact

One of the best I have played recently. Lots of options for both sides and a fun mix of armor for the Russians.
Soviets must retreat in the city area to conserve their forces, waiting for armored reinforcements to arrive. On hilltop they should also try and conserve their forces, not committing in pieces but give ground so that they can attack en masse.
Tough game for the Germans if the Sovs keep their infantry alive in the beginning and then come back with all those T-34's, and KV's

Relatively well-balanced, but the Axis could use a bit more AT capability. PzIIIs and IVDs don't match up very well with T-34s. Fun to play though.
