Kruglyakov on the Aksay River, 90km SW of Stalingrad: [Best played as Allied] Owing to the atrocious conditions and uninterrupted fighting, losses had been heavy for all the divisions in the 57th Panzer Korps thrusting east to relieve the besieged German Sixth Army at Stalingrad. Following the transfer of all available armor to the command of the 17th Panzer Division, General Hoth felt justified in continuing the advance. On December 23rd the still understrength 17th Panzer began the advance eastward out of the narrow bridgehead on the Aksay River. Immediately the 39th Panzer Regiment and the 63rd Panzer Grenadier Regiment were struck by elements of the Russian 87th Rifle Division and the 13th Armored Brigade which were moving to attack the bridgehead.

If this was designed before bridge building engineers the German player needs to watch out for the Soviet engineers.
