Failure on the Aksay - The Matrix Games version of East Front II

On December 23rd the still understrength 17th Panzer began the advance eastward out of the narrow bridgehead on the Aksay River. Immediately the 39th Panzer Regiment and the 63rd Panzer Grenadier Regiment were struck by elements of the Russian 87th Rifle Division and the 13th Armored Brigade which were moving to attack the bridgehead.
