At 12:00 hours the 77th Battalion Commander Avigdor Kahalani informed his Company Commanders of such and at 14:45 Syrian aircraft bombed their Naffah base. The 77th Battalion quickly moved out and with reports of a large Syrian force moving west sped to its prepared tank ramp positions on Booster Ridge. As the sun was sinking pillars of dust could be seen to the east moving toward their positions.
