North Africa, December 8th 1940: As that Italians halted their advance into Egypt in 1940, they had constructed formidable fortifications to defend themselves from the impending British counter offensive. The Italians succeeded in constructing a ring of fortified camps that they hoped would protect them from every possible avenue of approach that the British might attack from. However, on the night of 8th December, British recon confirmed that there was a large 11-mile gap between the camps of Nibeiwa and Sofafi thus creating an Achilles heel that O'Conner would soon exploit. [Size, small] *Designer's Notes: The race is against the clock as the allies must destroy the entire garrison at Nibeiwa and capture the objective to get a victory (the speed was necessary to keep the element of surprise as they then quickly attacked north to the Tummars before the Italians knew what had occured). All Italian units begin the scenario disrupted in order to simulate the surprise of the attack and the general unpreparedness of the Italian chain of command to quickly react to the threat. Units in the Nibeiwa area begin fatigued to represent the sleepless night (on the 8th December) from the 11th Hussars harrassments. Intended for PBEM or human allied vs. AI axis. Explicit Supply is possible. Designed with Paul Sinatra.

As the Italian - all you can do is hunker down. Your troops are terrible and basically incapable of fighting off a wandering camel. The terrain - such as it is - is your best friend.

The challenge for the Brit is to achieve a reasonable victory in a very small timeframe - 6 turns.
