Single Battle - The Battle of Vitebsk (52 turns, Large) - July 28, 1812 - Napoleon had caught Barclay at the regional capital of Vitebsk. After some preliminary skirmishing the day before, a halt was called to the action so that additional forces could be brought forward for a general battle. Barclay used this respite to slip away in the night. This battle hypothesizes that Barclay succumbing to pressure to give battle stayed and engaged the main French army the next day.
