If your too slow to block the german exit hexes (first 2 or 3 turns) game over.

Exiting German units quickly, whilst delaying the Americans with as small a force as you can get away with can make this a tough game for the Americans.

I don't understand why some players rate this scenario as "well balanced." Recorded game results and my experience with this scenario clearly show the German is strongly favored.
