Sweet spot for me in terms of size. A real tough town fight with lots of artillery being thrown around. Good amounts of infantry and armor without either being overwhelming. Perhaps a touch too much artillery but it was fun.

I thought this was one of the best scenarios I have played in a while. I loved the combat in the town it felt like Stalingrad at times the carnage and constant house to house fighting kept me on the edge of my seat.

An excellent battle with a good mix of VP objectives, troops and nice mix of terrain. About the only suggestion would be to reduce the amount of arty a little bit.

Initial placement of German AT and LeFH, so close to the Canadian positions is unrealistic. They would have been detected and destroyed before they could be positioned.
The very sound of hauling vehicles could not have remained undetected.
Also, getting your armor bogged and immobilized (even if it didn't move!) so frequently makes the game almost unplayable.
Aside from the logic, that any commander would never start the battle (unless he really, really has to!), knowing that he can easily lose his armor due to the soft ground.
Please keep in mind, this game (the whole CM franchise) is played by the people who know a thing or two about the trade.

Let us remember: the CM, when it was first introduced in 2003 - 2004, was adapted and used in some military schools and academies as a didactic tool, because of its rationality and practicality.
