We didn't get to finish the game but I was enjoying it up to that point - I was Allied. The briefing provided good advice about using artillery to separate the infantry from the armor and this plan seemed to be working pretty well. Impossible to know how it would have ended but I was fairly confident. I think the key is to position the TRPs in such a way that enabled the likely approaches to be quickly targeted using linear patterns.

Tricky, but probably not impossible for the Germans. I chose the wrong approach to this one and suffered terribly ;-)

Great scenario - a challenging scenario but with a lot of tools to approach the match. Not wanting to give too much away - but the pressure is certainly on the axis to make gains early. On a personal note - this was one of the most entertaining and challenging (particularly in those rough early turns) matches I've played - thanks to my opponent for a great match!

This one's an all-out battle!

I think the artillery - mine and his - blasted Perrier Ridge for around 40 minutes straight, if not more. This was interspersed with the crack of tank guns, ammo cook-offs and machineguns tearing through defenses at close range.

Thrilling and shocking at the same time!

Amazing game-experience! :D

Tough, interesting with good replayability as map is large and gives many maneuvering options.
"But I don't want to see CM's code or any games code. That is like seeing your spouse and your love as hormones and neurons firing in various lobes on PET scans. Some things should just be enjoyed for what they are; and not analyzed any further.

A very tough defence for the Brits against a strong German assault.

I fought on the British side so these comments come from the British. It was a huge map with many avenues of attack. This was overwhelming during the set up. I did not like not like the restricted set up for units such as the anti-tank weapons.

The Germans have the initiative and superior forces. The British are stretched thin. For the British, placing your pre-plotted artillery is tricky (do not place it where German reinforcements arrive).

The British player must remain flexible and prepared to react to the determined German attacks. Having a type of reserve available is important, but be sure cannot be hit trying to arrive at their relief point (for instance there are locations where the German Tigers are able to shoot almost all the way into the farm). The British must confound the German avenues of approach with ambushes to hold up their advance and to wear them down as they move on their objectives. While the British player is stretched thin, the arrival of tanks helps shore up British defenses, but they will have limited areas of approach and it is not necessarily true that they can be placed where you need them. No region of the battlefield can be ignored. Again, flexibility to address the circumstances on the field is required.

I left out a they in my sentence that reads:

Having a type of reserve available is important, but be sure "they" cannot be hit trying to arrive at their relief point

Really well designed and thought out scenario, and interesting right through to the last couple of turns.
