I think this scenario is very unbalanced against the British from the briefing notes and force composition against what the Axis gets to field.

I think I see what the designer was trying to get at here: In war information available to you can be vague, sketchy, incorrect and often puts you up against unfair odds (which is the goal of the opposing side). In my opinion this scenario would be best played with the more skillful/experienced player taking the British side

** SPOILER*** Allied briefing is misleading - it tells you the Axis are trying to escape "to the East" but the Axis player can also exit over the bridge to the South. There was no PIAT anywhere, despite what the briefing said, without it there's very little chance of stopping German tanks. In this scenario and a few other night scenarios I have found the game engine works poorly, often stationary troops watching a road will be surprised and shot to pieces at close range by enemy troops who advanced up the road right into the midst of the defenders without being detected and then fired first, the opposite of what common sense tells you should happen.

One of the scenarios that should be avoided in H2H:

- It is unbalanced, since the Brits don't have suitable weapons to engage the retreating german armour (in conradiction to what is stated in the Briefing, which is incorrect)

- It is boring .. no, really, you can have a better time watching paint dry on your basements wall ;-)

- It takes place at night, where the CMx2 engine is weak, especially for WW2 titles, with the result of involuntary comical situations.

My advice: Avoid at all cost, there are many better scenarios available.
