agmoss99 vs. Saddlesore

Not a very exciting game. A lot of Union troops released too late to be of use. Others started a long way from the action. Attacking over a creek with crappy quality troops was a no-no, so it really became an artillery duel. I'm not sure cavalry is of any use whatsoever in this series.

I agree with my opponents comments. As the Confederate player I could wait behind Antietam Creek with no reason to go on the offensive. There were too few objectives. Cavalry seems useless as it's high value doesn't match it's weak capabilities. Raided some supplies with Confederate Cavalry and was was attacked by unspotted infantry and lost a large number. Even doing Recon with cavalry is dangerous because you could stumble upon infantry and take heavy losses. Using them on the offensive is suicide, even against routed infantry because infantry nearby in good order will pound them. Overall I agree not a very exciting battle, sit and pound with artillery.
