Messing with colors. ...
So just playing around a bit with some blue colors (I have dark grey and light grey as well).

Steel Blue

Light Grey

Dark Grey

The only oddity is when you put it on the bottom for wide screens it doubles up.

The steel blue might be a little too dark here.

Still not sure yet ...

From my POV, the "blue test" looks good; it makes things easy to identify on the game map....

As for the Steel Blue, I agree it is too dark...

Keep up the great work...

Having fun yet?

I end up spending days on graphics and have constantly changed things as I learned additional techniques. Had to slow down on that to maintain some consistency.

Love seeing these kinds of mods as it gives me ideas for series that are being revamped I.e. Squad Battles.

One final note, and I think you are all over it, make certain the back of the unit card is legible. I had a lot of issues using camouflage in the unit box as it made it hard to read text. Another lesson that was learned…

Oh most certainly I am having a blast lol.

I totally get the time sink that graphics involve.

I posted this over at the WDS site but here for "completeness" as I think I am close to finish line.

I think I have hit on a good comprise that indicates both when a unit is selected and when its not, and is also easy to read the unit details by right clicking. As much as I like the full box flags for emersion a) they are not my own work and b) its still hard to read the unit details by right clicking with the full on flags.

Thoughts? (I know I can't please everyone).

RE: Messing with colors. ...
Question which flag looks better?

Option # 1 or Option # 2

RE: Messing with colors. ...
Frankly, on my tablet at least, I had to really dig in to notice or identify the difference. So on the basis that to me the difference is negligible, I like the right flag a slight bit mire.
