X Corps is adjacent to Atsugi's center and also close to its next objective: the ridge at Shimofurusawa. After that, 31st ID and 37th ID would need rest.

6th Marine Divisions and 96th ID will protect the plateau from Japanese counterattacks while 27th ID moves directly west towards Tokyo Bay, instead of taking the heavily defended north-western route, and 7th ID moves to the Boso Peninsula.

Japanese resistance is stiffening, but X Corps prepares for the final push towards Atsugi.

One regiment of the 7th ID moves along the coastal road and starts to mop up the first observers and coastal artillery positions whilst the rest of the division and most of 27th ID deal with retreating units of the 147th Division.

The Marines are waging trench warfare and digging in for now.

Atsugi, though turned to rubble, is captured.

XXIV Corps is s-l-o-w-l-y pushing back the 147th Division.

The Marine front might look uneventful, but the Japanese are launching some fairly nasty assaults from their trenches. Thus far, the Marines hold their front.

More mud. X Corps needs some rest before clearing the rest of Shimofurusawa ridge.

6th Marine Division will be relieved by the now rested 96th ID and will move back to the coast.

24th ID managed to bump a Japanese unit into an exposed hex and no rescue attempt was made. Though it's Broken, it will take a while to kill as I won't be using more than a few companies to assault it.

XIII (Armored) Corps has arrived with the 13th and 20th Armored Divisions. I'll initially try to use the armored divisions to take Fujisawa, which didn't work, and to clear some Brush hexes in the 6th ID sector, which worked. As before, not all units can land as some are scheduled to land south of Fujisawa.

1st Marine Division will slowly move north-east as 6th Marine Division rests for a while before moving towards the coast again.

7th ID conducts a wide sweep of the Boso Peninsula.

The Japanese unit is still Broken, and still there.

The fleet sets sail for the First Army beaches.

Units redeploy as mentioned earlier. Japanese pressure remains fairly light.

The 354th Division reappears after it has received some rest. Some Japanese units have been more or less reconstituted several times by now, I think.

The 13th Armored Division is trying to dislodge one of the defenders from the Town hex on the outskirts of Fujisawa. I was hoping for some Normal conditions so my units could move and assault.

The 20th Armored Division is trying to remove the Japanese defenders in the area west of Chogo.

The fleet moves east.

Some ships are moving in a northerly direction in view of one of the observers along the coastline. Hopefully that will slightly confuse my opponent as to where the Navy is going.

The bulk of the 6th Marine Division will move to the coastline north of Katakai. Some units will stay near the plateau for the moment, so my opponent can identify units from that division being in the area.

A lull in the fighting is in order, but losses have been acceptable.

Shimofurusawa ridge has been captured.

Matsusaki has been captured. No stragglers were encountered, only observers (which can't move) and coastal gun batteries.

In a few turns, the Boso Peninsula will be cut-off from the rest of Honshu. The defenders will be Isolated. 3 Partisan units and a reservist unit moved into the Peninsula/didn't move out, but no other troops were detected.

It's hard to tell on the screenshot, but the defenders of the plateau are fortifying their positions with bunkers. That should stop any Japanese counteroffensive and will allow me to hold a line with fewer units.

With the Brush hexes west of Chogo cleared and the Japanese pushed to less favourable defensive positions, XIII Armored Corps will head towards Hadano to help 24th ID finally make some progress and force the Japanese to withdraw to the other side of the major river you can see on the edge of the screenshot.

I didn't expect I would be able to trap any Japanese units, conditions are too poor for that, and the armored offensive indeed didn't trap anyone.

Good progress is made in the Boso Peninsula, though it will still take a few days before it's secure.

Most of the fleet is in place off South Sheridan Beach now.

The 4 Japanese units remaining north of Kisarazu will slowly be pushed into a single hex.

Engineers are also constructing bunkers around Honno.

XIII (Armored) Corps is ready to strike around Hadano.

US forces are closing in on Tateyama.

Broken units still benefit from the Fanatical Nation bonus, so it will take a while to destroy the 3 units through assaults.
