The best games in the Steel Panther series is undoubtedly the Shrapnel's version of both Steel Panthers WW2 ad Steel Panthers MBT. Both have been in development and upgraded and enhanced for over two decades and only SPWW2 has been updated for over 24 years now.

Both are fantastic games, I have created (and have published if you will) over 450+ scenarios (324 WW2, and 127 MBT) and 15 campaigns (12 WW2, 3 MBT) for both series.

Both are a great systems and so many bugs, enhancements, improvements and upgrades have been applied to both games.

I 2'nd that, both MBT and WW2 is way better than the Matrix version. The scenarios are great too, very competitive and fun too play, and best of all is the maps, they look exceptional. I usually play random battles, but the maps look so good I can't resist playing a scenario from time to time. The maps are really works of art, quite beautiful rendering of geography, and the unit graphics look really good too, not as beautiful as the maps, but considering they are in 3D, they look way better than any other turn based game.
