Spiked guns - no points?
Any idea why there are no artillery point losses if guns are spiked by the enemy?

User Manual:

To spike the battery, select it and then use the Spike Battery command of the
Command Menu. Once spiked, it is not possible to unspike the battery during
the scenario. For victory point calculations, spiked artillery only counts half of
normal. This means you would spike an artillery unit when you feel that it is
vulnerable to melee.

Note: You must remain in the same hex as a spiked enemy artillery battery
with at least one unit to be awarded Victory Points for the capture of the
battery

Thanks, I was just wondering about this rule. Does make capturing guns which you can't defend when spiked less beneficial.
