Visibility is 4 hexes. John commented that it's difficult to predict what visibility will be like on the first daylight turn. I tend to assume that it will be the max visibility for the day.

There are some nice targets for the Navy and Army/Navy/USMC air units.

My forces will try to expand their beachheads, and the XI Corps divisions will attempt to meet in the middle.

More detailed strategy will follow in subsequent turns, as I gain information on Japanese overnight redeployment.

My forces have recovered/replaced 1598 men since the start of the scenario.

Recovery is 1%, Replacement rate is 1% for the V Marine Amphibious Corps and 3% for everybody else. Curiously, the lower Marine replacement rate is set for the corps and not individual formations and I'm not sure what rate applies if I use Corps Attachment to reassign units.
