Enjoying the game a lot. Just picked up Kursk to go with Normandy, also my PBEM partner just bought Kursk after a demo PBEM battle. 

On to the request. I generally play the medium to smaller scenarios as i find it hard to keep track of things in the larger unit count scenarios. My Pbem opponent talked me into Hannut full battle, with me as Germany. Is there anyway to to make the "highlight units with unused movement points" more useful? I find it not very useful currently. It highlights units with so few points to do anything and the last turn it was highlighting units with 0 points for some reason. Is it possible to have it just highlight units with a third of there points left. Right now it seems you still have to check the units individually to make sure you didn't forget a unit. 

Ideally a OOB list you could pull up with all your units listed with location and color coded the same as the counters for action point status or a listing of the points they have left would be great, also being able to click on the unit and be taken to the unit location would be awesome and hey while your at it how about current unit strength, morale, and status  Big Grin2

It's actually 'Highlight units that have used movement points' . That's why units with 0 movement points are being highlighted.

One of the 'joys' of playing a bigger scenario is breaking it down into sub battles. in the Hannut battle you should think in terms of regiment/brigade actions. Each German Panzer Division has four regiments (Tank & infantry) as well as artillery and other supporting arms. You should give each regiment a job and if necessary pair up other supporting units for specialised or difficult tasks. Once you focus at this lower level its easier to understand who is doing what and where they should be. This then make it easier to focus on playing at a unit level and determining what happens next.

If you want the game to make you more mechanically systematic, I find clicking on 'M' for used movement points, 'H' for reachable hexes and then clicking 'N' for next stack ('P' for previous) allows me to move through all my forces quickly and automatically (after clicking on an individual unit) see where they can go and if they have already used movement points. Even if movement points have been used, you can see whether they can still go a long way or not. In many case you can have multiple filters on that can assist you to get feedback that makes sense to you.

Keep the questions going, it's the only way to learn.

Duh, your right, there's even a tool tip Whistle just looking for a way to quickly determine which units have enough points left to do something without going through all the units.

good tips, and that is how i'm approaching it. breaking the battle down into smaller objectives. Think i might start recording the battle so i can look back on where i went wrong Big Grin2 . Thx again for your reply.
