Advice on playing Head to Head?

Anybody experienced at playing H2H?  I'm picking the game back up after several years & I'm having some difficulty hook,king up w/my friend on the net.

Both up to date at 2.02, both using W7. Chose TCP/IP option, he hosted. I entered his IP address, but after a short search I get a message that it can't find him. Both of us gave EF as a firewall exception.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Settings should be as follows:

Protocol / Port (or range) / Host Port

TCP / 2300-2400 / 2300

UDP / 2300-2400 / 2300

TCP / 47624 / 47624

TCP / 6073 / 6073
