Air Craft can you choose them?

This may be answered somewhere in the manual. If so, have a little patience with the question.

When you have air support, the list will show different types you have available. Can you choose the aircraft you want to attack a hex by highlighting the type of plane in the list of available? I have selected in the past a highlighted plane and then the hex I want it to attack. To get the best results. But unsure if selecting the type of plane makes a difference.

No, you can't choose which aircraft gets chosen from the pool of aircraft available in the scenario.
