Howdy-New To The Forum
Hello all. I was digging around through some old disks the other day and I found my copy of "Rising Sun" from YEARS ago. I started playing it and remembered why I liked Talonsoft's games of this variety so much. I just downloaded the whole series from Matrix's site. I look forward to playing/talking with y'all.

To learn more about PBeM, I recommend that you read the relevant section in the CS User Manual. Read

Here's how you get to the User Manual.

Go to where you have JTCS installed on your PC - usually C drive. Than...

C drive > Matrix Games > John Tiller's Campaign Series > Manuals > CS-Manual (.pdf file). Reference Section 15 (PBeM).

I recommend that you name your PBeM turn file with a !! prefix. This will "force" the turn file to be listed first in the game files so you are not forced to scroll through hundreds of files to locate your PBeM turn file.

For example ----> !!MWvsHK_EFMinsk.bte

Also, in deciding who to play, it's a good idea to check out the player's win % before accepting a challenge. Click on the player's name and it will take you to the player's profile.

Look at the player's win percentage (%). Generally, a win % above .500 indicates that player wins more than 50% of all the games they play. A win % lower than .500 indicates that player losses more than 50% of all the games they play. Win percentage is also influenced by the number and quality of opponents played.

Ask questions. Check things out. Above all. Relax and enjoy yourself. It's only a game! Keep things in perspective. Also, the real club pluses are the friendships I have made over the years! I have been privileged to have been an active Blitz member since 2006 and have played and made friends with some of the best guys you'll ever want to meet! So, value your friendships above your wins!

Welcome aboard! Helmet Smile
