awwww, come on. let's do Battleaxe and then we can do Crusader. new to the system but an old time gamer. I'd like to see your moves before I commit to a long long game on a totally new system.

I've been listed as game tester on "When the Leaves Fall", "The Cossacks are Coming" and a few others by people such as Gary Helmer, Dave Bolt, and other old time grognards. Gamed with them for years. Radey used to consider me a "reactionary". Lol. Damn commies.

I'll give you a run for your money once I get a feeling for what the system can do.

Do it. I'll play either side.

sorry. I think:

Home Before the Leaves Fall is Dave's game. Wargammed it over a long weekend in Berkley with Helmer, Joe Youst, Jim, Dave, and a few others. I am a play tester on that one.

I may still have my published copy unpunched. Another Monster Game. Which is why I do want to do Tobruck'41 Crusader.

I never gamed directly with GDW cause I was usually living in Canuckland more than half the time, but my buddies from People's War Games used to playtest GDW and many others, and Napoleonics used to be high on the list.

Loved Tiller's stuff on Talonsoft. The Civil War and some of the Napoleonics. Good stuff. Also loved some of the board games and did years of that. Not Tiller but many others. La Battaile de le Moscova. Classic.

We had more than a weekend or two playing Crusader by Chadwick. What a pain that was. All those units, all that map. This one by Tiller is soooooo much easier.

Anyway, took us about 8-12 players over a weekend or three, with Jim programming rough factors and us giving him our moves, long before GUI (or rather, before he thought GUI was important).

So, love to game Crusader, want to play someone with experience on the game system to show me what can be done before you kick my a_s.

If you still haven't found an opponent I can play.
I'll send the first Allied turn as soon as you give confirmation.

BTW, since I am using the Volcano Man mods, can you choose the recommended options. They are on his website or I can post them.

I completed the turn but you don't seem to have an email on your profile.
Add one or contact me at mine to get started.
