Havoc, I was once in the same boat, but last patches on Ancient Warfare games have made an outstanding job.

HPS put a demo tutorial HERE (if someone is interested, look for "Setup_AW_Tutorial.exe", I don't want to hotlink).

I like FoG for what it is (good, because I bought all the expansions ), but if you have and play both games, BluntF is right, there's NO comparison.
