Feedback Needed  A second computer-Competition in the ItB house.
OK Gents,

Got a new laptop with Win 7 to compete with my desktop with Win Vista or should I say my wife who is on the desktop all the time!Angry3

My desktop talks to this website all the time even now. But what do I need to do to get my laptop to talk to "The Blitz" as Ivan the Big and will I be recognized across both machines?

Also in my profile can I add a second e-mail address so opponents will recognize me on my laptop?

Any help with my dilemma would be mucho appreciated!

John, you can sign on to the Blitz from any computer, but (I think) it will knock you off all but the one you're currently using. Also, the Blitz is only set up for one email entry, but you could probably find a spot under your profile for a secondary to be listed (maybe under website? Another option is a gmail account for gaming that you can log onto from wherever you want.

Scud , exactly how does the g-mail work. Had problems with my e-mail account. Does this bypass my present e-mail account with a seperate box?

Gmail is a free online email service offered by google. Hotmail is another, run by Microsoft. Both are good and can be used either through online browsers or setup to come through your Outlook, if you'd prefer it.

Just go to gmail.com, set up and account, use a strong password and you're good to go. I've noticed a lot of players at the Blitz have a gmail account just for gaming. I use it for everything non-work related.

Yes, it's separate from your current email, but you could forward your present email to go to it if you wanted.

Thanks Dave,

I do have a gmail account so I'll look into that.

As for the knockoff, I suspected that was the case as the site only sees one computer at a time.

I am one of those who've created a gmail account for gaming purposes solely.

Works a treat as far as I am concerned.

Files are stored at Google servers, I can access them from any computer via browser, or from my cell phone. There's a brilliant search engine, old emails are easy to look up. Nothing needs to be deleted, any old .bte file is there for a download should they get lost or an old opponent turn up again.

I am not using my main gmail account, I created another one like I said. Just in case some of those spam bots pick up your email address, you would then just create a new account.
