1813 vs. 1815
For me 1815 is just an afterthought to the two more important campaigns in the Napoleonic Wars. They being: 1813 and 1814.

Now we are coming up on the anniversary of the 1813 campaign but as most of you know Waterloo is more popular. So to toast those that love Waterloo more than say Leipzig or the Battle of Paris (1814) here is my projected list of books on the 1815 campaign that we will have to endure over the next couple of years to commemorate that campaign. Are you ready? Big Grin

1. Wellington's Favorite Lunch Menu (great for those reenactments you go to)
2. Things About the Waterloo Campaign You Didn't Already Know (23 pages - Table of Contents - 2 pages, Foreward - 5 pages, Introduction 3 pages, Bibliography 10 pages)
3. Carpenter's Guide to Hougomont and La Haye Sainte
4. Statistical Calculations on the Amount of Oats Consumed During the Campaign
5. Debunking Hofschroer: The German Myth Unmasked by Lord Percival Wartnose
6. Napoleon's Love Letters of 1815 - a Harlequin publication
7. Davout at Waterloo by Newt Gingrich
8. Killing Napoleon by Bill O'Reilly
9. En Garde - little known duels fought over the facts about Waterloo through the ages by Pierre Pincushion
10. Dirty Secrets of the Waterloo Battlefied

Yes, as you can see Waterloo is my LEAST favorite battle of the era. Give me the thunder and lightning of Leipzig or Lutzen any day ... Mex Big Grin
