Map Question
Hello all,

I'm struggling with this game, so I have been reading the forums to get some tips, and watching everything available for some guidance....... I'm getting there now Confused

I've just watched the WITE vids on UTube previously noted on this forum. They are posted by a guy called greyhunterlp - one shows an overview of the game from turn 1-49 .... very interesting.
There is also the series of three UTube posts entitled "War in the east - weekly reports from the front" .....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TajHCrzrJ...re=related

in these videos the map seems to be formatted differently, insofar as the "minor" cities have their names actually on the map, and the factories and resource centres also seem to be printed on the map, rather than being just being able to have them highlighted. There also seems to be other support info printed directly onto the map such as port symbols and sea supply routes ala traditional board games

This gives a much better overall look to the map IMO

Any ideas? ... was this an earlier version of WITE, or is it a patch/mod that is available somewhere?

Cheers

Chris

has many of the best graphics mods. The specific one you admired (which I also like) is Redmarkus4's "Place Names Map Mod". (I think he has a an update in there for Don to Danube too. Havene't tried them yet.)

I also recommend one of the weather display mods (his or Liquidsky's (the latter is my pref)). Both are MUCH better than comes with the game package.

Cheers,
