Soviets v. Russia
Soviets v. Russia

Hi one and all.

Quick question……

Can anyone explain the difference between the Russia OOB and the Soviets OOB in the JTCS and why the Soviets exist?

The reason I am asking is because me and a friend are designing a large scenario which includes any units in any year which the current JTCS OOB Editor permits.

Put simply, you can add German units to a Soviet OOB or add Soviet units to a German OOB, but you can not add Russian units to a Soviet OOB or add Soviet units to a Russian OOB even though they have the same units and it seems no matter what year your extracting these units from.

So what it boils down to is and that both German and Soviet units combined together in a single Org (no matter what year) can do battle against the allies and which would include Americans, Russia, British etc all combined in a single Allied Org.

Thanks Joe

RE: Soviets v. Russia
Russians are Allied Soviet Union. Soviets are Axis Soviet Union (for those US vs CCCP battles etc...).
