RE: JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler
Have you had any luck in adding EAGLES STRIKE EUROPEAN ADD ON?

It can be found here:

The European add-on modifies the data files, I think you would be further ahead to just install it, and then add or subtract other graphics mods as you like. Adding this add-on shouldn't affect your PBEM in any way, even if your opponent doesn't have it installed. Try it though, and let me know how it works. I've used the mod program for Close Combat, it was sort of a pain with that game and mods though. Too many cooks I think. ;)

I just did it. Seems to work ok. There isn't a lot of scenarios, so it took me a
few tries to figure out if I had it correct. Big Grin2

Did you get the JSGME to work on a simple mod like units yet?

Not a problem. You guys have a bunch of great people here and I am honored
to be here. Plus I am new the Squad Battles and have asked a bunch of newbie questions. Big Grin2

Give me a little time and I am going to start a few battles and I don't mean the War Department (WIFE) LOL

This series is AWESOME!

Might be a good "sticky" for future use.

It's a great program. You can add mods and such to your base game without screwing it up. You can add scenarios as you need or want them. Group them as winter or time. Just enable them with a click and play. When you are done, disable them for future use.

I used this in all the sim racing games for years Big Grin2

Okay, so I'm chicken

Ed , your pics are not displaying on my computer - something about having expired!

Found this link though:

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=1773663

Though I am not active over there, it seems to be pretty thorough. Here is my request - - Either point me to, or give me plain English overview of what the mod system is trying to accomplish.

Also I found a JSGME ver 2.3.1 - - - will that work?

Does something as simple as adding scenarios from TFE4 erquire management as a mod? Or is JSGME or similar for adding more extensive mods such as sound or artwork or even units?

What is the overall benefit to such mods?

And remember, before you say, "any idiot should know these things; I am not just "any Idiot!"
