Brigade searches in f 14

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this: Often, if a brigade in the French Army is the same number as a brigade in the Belgian Army, a search for the French unit will always be directed to the Belgian. Try 18th Brigade 9th Division for example. I'm playing the early campaign. jonny:smile9:

Well, searching happens for the whole side, not just one nation. Are you saying that if you search for "8e Brigade" then you only get Belgian results and not French?

Ok, let's say I'm searching for the 18th French Brigade. I search HQ 18e and the program gives me 4 choices; the 18th brigade, 18th Corps, 18th Division and 18th Brigade Mixte, the Belgian outfit. I click on HQ 18th Brigade and it will always go to the Belgian unit. It will find the correct Corps and Division but anytime there is a similarity on the brigade level, the program will find the Belgian unit. jonny

It should list all matches incl french ones so pick a different or change the spelling.

Yes, as Rick says, the search is simply a text string search. If you put in nothing but "brigade" then it will show you everything in the OOB that has the text "brigade" in its name. You just have to narrow it down to be more specific. :)

For example search HQ 15e you get a number of choices: 15th Division, 15th Corps, 15th Dragoons, HQ 15e Brigade Mixte and HQ 15e Brigade. I don't see how I can get more specific. Those are the choices listed. If I pick the French unit; HQ 15e Brigade, it will go to the Belgian. What can I say? Try it.

Now that I have the game open, I can see it.

VM, there is a bug in the go to part. The search results list all the appropriate units matching the search, but as jonny says, you click on the one that SHOULD be the French unit, without the Mixte at the end, and it jumps to the Belgian formation instead, even though it is listed separately.

Ah I see what you mean now. JMB: I was confused whether you were talking about typing in the text and getting the search results of everything similar, as opposed to clicking on the unit and being taken to the wrong one. ;)
