Gents:
Please note that I will be unavailable from July 23 - August 1 for PBeM.
I will be serving on a mission team that will be traveling to
Dulac, Louisiana (our 4th annual trip to this region) to assist with rebuilding efforts.
Even 5 years since Hurricane Katrina... the gulf states are still rebuilding and need folks' help - boots on the ground, financial support, and lots of prayers! New Orleans got the bulk of the assistance and news coverage, but other smaller gulf communities like Dulac (located 90 miles SW of New Orleans) that were devastated by hurricane winds and flood tides, were ignored. And these folks don't have the means to rebuild. Dulac families make on average $24,000 per year and over 30% of the population lives below the poverty line. Sobering statistics.
Please keep our 7 member team in your thoughts and prayers!
I'll resume my normal PBeM turn rate after August 1.
Thanks everyone! :)
