Off Topic  total war series
Anyone on the ladder play any of the TW series? Trying to get a feel for a possible ladder.

Empire TW is incredibly cool once you install the DARTH MOD which fixes CA's half finished product release (isn't that the way all software is released now?).

Napoleon TW is a system hog BIG TIME and from what I hear there isn't much campaign variation.

I have Rome and the Barbarian Invasion expantion pack. I love to play it.

The only problem was that you couldn't do a campaign in multi-player mode. In my opinion the campaign format made the game much more interesting. The individual battles are beautiful and great fun - but if you can't continue to crush you enemies and take their lands...what's the use of being a Roman?

RE: total war series
a campaign could be run the same as in SP, moderator sets the battles and forces with the prevailing team winning the area.

RE: total war series
Alas, there has not been much interest so not sure if doing the leg work for 6 players is worth it.
