Air Unit Hex Visibility

Air Unit Hex Visibility
Does anyone know why when using Air Recon, or any of the other type of air unit, the controlling player does not get to see any of the hexs that the air units used as a flight path and/or any adjacent flight path hexs?

I would think that if any air unit was used, seeing several hexs, instead of just seeing a few during a recon flight, and only being able to see one hex during a fighter/bomber mission would be possible since this would be a realistic.

Thanks

RE: Air Unit Hex Visibility
there is no extra visibilty because there is no flight path or bases. The air aspect is an abstractions which works. Yes the AIrcrasft have to get to the target - that isn't in question - what is in question is the timely relay of accurate info to the units on the ground.
