Right, the guns are still setting up per se (even for fire over open sights), but they certainly wouldn't take as long as it would to set them up for indirect fire ops. Then again, this is another game abstraction to keep everyone from using these powerful guns as direct fire field artillery all the time, and further differentiates the more mobile field guns from the howitzers. It is a fine balance between it all, lest one type of gun be more powerful / useful than another type.

Fair points as always well made.

In an ideal world it would be nice to remove fine tune some of these things but you could go on forever.

One thing for sure this is a gem of a game with so many different situations and quality of units. Its like having to learn different games as I have yet to work out how to deal with the brits as the Germans I think its a case of accept the losses and get in close and hope!

All the posts on the system have been good and very helpful well done to Ed and his team.
