Breaking my Golden Rule
Golden Rule: Never order a game before the first update comes out.

I have pre-ordered France 1914. I've been researching the topic, so curiusity gets the best of me.

I have hope the team did a good job and wish there was an oob editor included.

One cannot make later war scenarios without tanks, poison gas, Stosstruppen and strafing biplanes, etc. Metz is not on the map, so Franco-Prussian War cannot be done. Why cannot there be an oob editor good for this title alone?

RE: Breaking my Golden Rule
I would say thats a pretty good golden rule...with the exception of HPS games which are about as problem free as a company can get IMHO.

There are undoubtably F15,F16,F17 and a F18 titles planned (perhaps depending on success of this one)
Would'nt suprise me if someone is'nt working on Franco -Prussian as well.

I would not begrude them on making a little money to keep the business solvent, would you ?

You asked this in the other thread, the basic answer is because the game DOES contain tanks, stosstruppen, strafing planes, bombers, and everything short of poison gas. While the series does plan to evolve as as it moves along to fit the war, you still have all the necessary tools available (if there was an editor) to reproduce a reasonable facsimile of 1915-1918 which is of course the problem and the reason for the decision.

And BTW, Metz in its entirety IS on the map so there goes that argument... :(

I'm sorry it is set in stone. I still look forward to the game. I'm just someone who loves fiddling around with and researching oobs.

RE: Breaking my Golden Rule
I've been asking for T-14 for years (Tannenberg 1914) so my guess is that's next on the list. If you need a playtester for that one, I'm willing. J
