Please explain as it it is realized in game ?

Sliding the advantage bar in one direction or the other gives that side an advantage in terms of combat resolution. So if you are playing the AI and want it to have more of a chance against you, you slide the bar in the direction of the side the AI is playing. The AI's side will then take less damage when you fire at it, and inflict more damage when it fires at you.
