No,the other two Task Force continue on. Center TF will head directly towards the town, and Northern or Right Flank TF will head to northern town outskirts.

Unlike the Tatsinskya Raid where the Russians drove around the airfield at leisure shooting it up I think we are better off destroying enemy forces so as to create a line of supply and reinforcements to the rear. So, if feasible we will clear the town or at least envelope it.

The 2nd battle will take place here. The German forces seem to be infantry only, but again weather is restriction the intel. reports. You will get a better idea after the battle as to what you are facing.
I am drawing the map up right now, will be finished tonight then I will work on the third map. More information to follow.

Right Flank or Northern Task Force Commander, you will attack that town in front of you with your entire Task Force and eliminate enemy opposition. Same rules apply as for Southern Task Force, use infantry to recon and suppress and your tanks to blast enemy infantry. Try to cover with crew-served so as to suppress any unhidden guns that come up.

I do not want significant losses this early in the game, so be careful. If only enemy infantry unmask them with your infantry and then blast them with tanks.

If you can whip around behind them with the T-70s to encourage surrender so much the better.

Ratzki, I guess its clear that herroberst has the centre force, Combat Wombat the South, and I the North. I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but I think our attack will be more of a probe stance as opposed to all-out assault at this point as per herroberst's orders. If such a delineation is irrelevant, then disregard. Looking forward to the second map, and getting this started!

That's fine.

I do not have any intel on enemy strengths or weaknesses. I would presume that we will initially face infantry and guns. Remains to be seen if they will be spread out and easy pickings one-by-one or bunched up for envelopment. With the South TF in contact at a cross roads it may be they are spread out.

Willow, at some point during your battle and if it goes okay, I will want you to send a small combined arms task group up that northern road to the M-21 intersection and set up a blocking or at least a scouting position - high speed avenue of approach, don't need a kampfgruppe using it.

Good idea. Were you thinking of one of the "prongs" ie 3 X T-34s, Infantry platoon and a couple maxims? Or something smaller? Of course a lot depends on how I do in the coming battle, but assuming I survive relatively intact...

After I get a little clarification from the German side I will ship the 1st two battles out and they can start. I am working on the 3rd map right now.
