F Morale
Hmm....I have a unit with an F Morale that is disrupted. Disrupted units have their morale reduced by a level, making it No Morale. The manual says that when it makes the disruption recovery check, it is based on its current morale with any applicable modifiers...

My Question is:

Will this unit every become undisrupted? Or will it remain in a permanent state of disruption?

For the record, the unit is the Remote Control Panzer of Panzer Lehrs Pz. Regt. 130. In an assualt, the unit disrupted and after about 15 turns, has not organized.

RE: F Morale
If you are playing with the latest updates that are in all the games, you should see it recover, but it is a poor chance still and random so it could be awhile - may not happen within the scenario scope. However, since the change was made to allow this - it used to be impossible for no morale units to recover - I have seen them recover.

Yes, the rule is that (in the latest updates) if an F unit has no morale because it is disrupted then it will indeed have a chance to recover from disruption as long as the unit suffers from no other detrimental effect to its morale (low ammo, low fuel, yellow fatigue etc). The reason I know about the obscure rule is... well, it is a long story -- but it has something to do with Libyans. :)

RE: F Morale
Ed is refering to the glorious Italian 10th army in the Compass '40 (add on for Alamein), that army has many F quality units and with the new update we can confirm that they will undisrupt but it may take some time even with low or no fatigue.

RE: F Morale
However, Normandy'44, which is the title I am guessing you are playing, was probably not updated yet to include that feature.

At least I can't find in the changes.txt document for version 1.11 the line "Change so that F quality units can recover from Disruption and Broken" which is present in the most recent updates in other games.

If I am reading things right and Normandy is indeed your game your unit will be disrupted forever.

RE: F Morale
If Normandy is not your title you may find this table I compiled some time ago with the differences between the several Panzer Campaign games useful.

Aetius, that is a useful table. Is it up to date?

Yes,

Since I did it there were no updates released by HPS. It doesn't include differences that also exist in the editor part of the games, as I almost never use it.

Excellent piece of work Rui, can i give you the job of keeping this up to date for the use of the community?

There is no pay, just the thanks of all us PzC fanatics who need to know this sort of detail. :smoke:
